Anyone that knows me will tell you that there are two things I love most in this world, eating and traveling.
The first time I traveled abroad I was 15, and my mother took me to Paris. I spent 6 weeks with a local family there and absolutely fell in love with the city. Anyone who has been lucky enough to travel to Paris will confirm that there is no city in the world quite like it. Wandering the winding cobblestone alleys and making your way to the grand boulevards you are struck with an incredible sense of inspiration. Suddenly you understand why so many great artists, musicians, and writers spent so much time there. You are filled with the sense that you too could create something beautiful. Something that ignites a fire within people the way that the lights from the Eiffel Tour ignite the night sky.
I was captivated by this city and everything that it represented.
That was all it took, and I was hooked. Since that day I have had an unquenchable thirst to experience this magnificent world. To see all of its wonders, meet new people, and to eat my way through every city that I visit.
I found my inspiration in food that summer. In the street side crêpes and bakeries filled with tarts, in the early morning markets and the late night cafés. I was young and hopeful. I had no idea where life might take me, but I knew that I was ready for any adventures that may come my way!
Since that magical summer 10 years ago I have spent my life traveling the world. Exploring new cultures. Collecting unforgettable memories. And eating delicious food.
I want to share them all.
I hope that as I recreate and reinvent my favorite recipes from around the world, I can take you with me. Take you to far off places full of adventure and wonder. And I hope that you, too, can find your inspiration in food.
